A rather intriguing love story about a nurse, Jessica who takes a three month job to nurse a Lady of the manner with her mobility after her hip replacement. Cue a dashingly handsome son and his two children and you have the start of a wonderful love affair. I was pleasantly surprised by this book and was drawn in by the individual characters. Each one was unique and very different. The descriptive text had me imagining this old stately home nestled in the countryside and i was swept away. Fabulous!

A nice easy to read book for all us romantic chick lit readers. Good to sit down with on a wet winters day with a hot cup of tea and a big bar of chocolate and slip into like a soft pair of fluffy slippers. Go on treat yourself!

I got into this book straight away and mostly enjoyed the storyline but found the characters a bit "cliched" in parts .... namely, small even teeth and ... eyes like jewels etc. but nevertheless a good story.

I liked this book as it has more than one aspect to the story and the writer developed all the characters well. KEPT me interested throughout

  • By Susan A. McGuinness on 5 February 2014

I found the characters unconvincing cardboard cut outs and the writing cliched and awkward, plus the plot was unbelievable and contrived.

It started off ok but thought there could have been a better ending.Felt more like it should have been a mills and boon..
